For example, “to assist” is not « assister ». « assister » is “to attend”.
e.g. “to attend a ceremony”: « assister à une cérémonie »; “to attend a concert”: « assister à un concert ».
“to assist” is « aider », e.g. “to assist someone” (as in “to help someone”): « aider quelqu’un ».
“actually” is not « actuellement ». « actuellement » is “currently”; and “actually” is « en fait » (like “in fact”).
This is a very common mistake among language learners.
« une location » is not “a location”. « une location » is “a rental”. “a location” is « un endroit ».
« passer un examen » is not “to pass an exam”. « passer un examen » is “to take an exam”.
“to pass an exam” is « réussir à un examen ».
“sensible” is not « sensible ». « sensible » is “sensitive”; and “sensible” is « judicieux ».
