If it’s “more people”, so “more” + a noun, it’s going to be « plus de », « plus de gens », « plus de produits »: “more products”. If it’s followed by an adjective, like “more fun” or “stronger”, it is going to be « plus fort ». So, the « de » disappears.

“could”: « pourrait ». “could” is another modal verb. You use « pouvoir » in the conditional present tense. “each salesman could promote”: « chaque commercial pourrait promouvoir ». If you’re struggling with those, here is a quick tip to translate easily: find a synonym like “would be able to”: « serait capable de ». It usually works, and it’s usually easier to use.

“the research”: « les recherches ». Why is it suddenly plural in French? Collective nouns like “research” in English are rare in French, so you need a standard plural in French. You need to add an “s” at the end to make the noun plural; « la recherche » becomes « les recherches ».
Collectives do exist in French but they’re rare, e.g. « la foule »: “the crowd”; « la multitude »: “the multitude”. When you use them, you may use either the singular or the plural to enhance the collective or individual roles, e.g. you may use either “une foule de personnes est venue OR « une foule de personnes sont venues ».
