Future Tense Conjugations
Let’s try a first group verb first, « PARLER »:
PARLER (TO SPEAK): future
Je parlerai: I will speak
Tu parleras: You will speak
Il/Elle parlera: He/She will speak
Nous parlerons: We will speak
Vous parlerez: You will speak
Ils/Elles parleront : They will speak
Now let’s conjugate the verb that we’re using here in the sentence, « aller ».
Conjugate The Verb ALLER (TO GO): future
J’irai: I will go
Tu iras: You will go
Il/Elle ira: He/She will go
Nous irons: We will go
Vous irez: You will go
Ils/Elles iront: They will go
As you can see, it’s highly irregular.
So, what we’re saying in French is literally “I will go to fetch you at the airport”: « j’irai te chercher ».
